TO BLEND OR TO JUICE?

.

Since January 2013, I have been trying to decide on whether to get a High Performing Multi Task Blender or High Performing Juicer to start my new healthy lifestyle of greens vegetable and fruits - I just want one that does it ALL and worth every penny. I have been procrastinating for 4 months now and I have to make a decision and make my purchase soon.
.
I have narrowed it down to a Vitamix Blender and  Breville Juicer - I simply one that is affordable ($500 is my budget), easy to use in juicing ALL (greens, vegs, fruits etc) and one that is easy to clean, but most of one that is all durable (i dont want it breaking down on me a year from now).

.
I guess decision on whether to Juice or to Blend depends on what one wants. I am leaning to Blender now because of the mess that Juicers create, and the cleaning is something else, but if there is one that is easy to clean, I may consider it.
.
I like my smoothies thick, but when it comes to Juice, I want my juices very liquid-y with no pulps, so when I learnt that Vitamix is good at blending juices to liquid form just as a  high performing juicer would, I gravitated more towards Vitamix.
.
I have never used Vitamix and I don't know yet, but am thinking for fruits and vegs like apple or carrots, I may have to just go one step further and maybe filtrate with a filtrate bag to get the liquid I want - but I will see when I finally do decide and I make my purchase. Maybe the juice will be so liquid smooth i wouldn't need to go through all of that filtration. I also want to start making my own pure almond milk (no additives unlike the ones in the grocery store).
.
Do you Juice or Do you Blend? Which one do you prefer?. If you have some reviews and testimonies of either or, or both, please let us know.
