The above photos are nice inspirational design ideas for a welcoming breakfast bar area. I really love breakfast bars in a kitchen. Although i live in a small apartment (800 sq feet) and a small space is designated as a dining area, I don't use my dining area as much as i use my Breakfast bar. It is even more ideal area to entertain your guest (family and friends) as you are cooking in the kitchen, It at least gives you an opportunity to give eye contact to your guest as they sit at the bar and to communicate with you as yo multi-task in the kitchen.
