Pantone just announced their 2012 color of the year -Tangerine Tango is "a spirited reddish orange.

The Executive Director of Pantone Color Institune Leatrice Eiseman, states that "The Tangerine Tanto is "Sophisticated but at the same time dramatic and seductive, Tangerine Tango is an orange with a lot of depth to it. It is “Reminiscent of the radiant shadings of a sunset, Tangerine Tango marries the vivaciousness and adrenaline rush of red with the friendliness and warmth of yellow, to form a high-visibility, magnetic hue that emanates heat and energy." Ms Eiseman also states that  "Tangerine Tango is a bit exotic, but in a very friendly, non-threatening way".

So. What do you guys think? Are you ready to dance the Tangerine Tango? Personally i absolutely love it and have decided to include this very color in my design collection. I tested it on a swatch with my designs and it look fabulous.

Speaking of Pantone, I absolutely love these pantone postcards on this website (Buy Olympia) I mentioned in my cupcake post . I ordered myself these cute Pantone Cards which retails for just $20 odd dollars and look forward to receiving it soon.

As a designer these cute Pantone Post Cards will definately come in handy and useful until i finally make my purchase of the much larger collection off of Pantone. Yes i know its meant to use as a postcard to mail to a friend or  loved one - but i will not be using it for that. This will be sitting at my lil desk in my home office as my color reference. LOL
